Earn Money Just from Blogging

You can make money blogging right now but competition is tough. The phenomenon of blogging has been around for a number of years now. Blogging originally began as a hobby where people would write something relating to something that they wanted to write about. Some would write about their jobs others about their daily life. Interestingly however was blogs began to pull in lots of search engine traffic and this is how commercial blogging began.

When people saw that bloggers were making money and driving a lot of traffic without much effort, everyone jumped on the bandwagon including marketers and large corporations and even celebrities who wanted to blog for money.

Today, blogging has become a good source of income for many people. However just starting a blog is not a guarantee that you will make money online, since there are probably billions of blogs out there that your blog is essentially competing against. Purchasing a catchy domain is just a small part of the whole puzzle. There are, however, a few things you can do to make your blog more noticeable and attract more people.  When people start noticing your blog and visiting it regularly, that’s when you can start making some money off your blogging efforts.

You should start by submitting the URL of your blog to search engines and website directories. This ensures that when people search for something that is related to the niche you are targeting, your blog will pop up in the search results. You should also become active on other people’s blogs and participate by adding in comments where ever you think your expert opinion will count. You should say something useful and something that will generate curiosity that will make people visit your website.

People who are active on discussion boards often get more traffic to their blogs because they have the opportunity to post links back to their blog and communicate with people who are into the same niche as they are. The more you participate on these discussion boards and forms the more people will begin to recognize you. When you start getting a decent amount of visitors to your blog you should begin by placing ads on your blog. I usually recommend that you don’t do this prior to before you start getting a few thousand visitors a day.

Add pictures to your blog posts, and videos if possible — this is especially important if you also plan to sell products through your blog. By adding these elements, you make your blog more interesting and attention-grabbing. Most people today also include a Contact Us form which allows people to contact them if they want to discuss something or make a transaction. This is a great way to get some business.

You an also collaborate with other blogs and websites as well as trade links with them. This is an excellent way to increase traffic to your website. When blogging it pays to think beyond the boundaries of your box.  Think of fresh ideas that you can use for business, and you will soon see financial rewards if you work hard enough.

Blogging Your Way to Greater Profit

The economy’s been in a recession for a while now, and it shows no signs of coming out of it now or in the near future, unfortunately. Times are tough for a lot of folks, and some of them are contemplating trying to make some cash off the Internet.  One way to do it is to make money blogging.

The Internet’s a veritable Grand Canyon of space and depth. And it grows bigger with each passing day. Something like 175,000 blogs are created in that same passing day, on average, by the way. But many others fall off the cliff. This should tell you that they’re not too hard to make, but that it isn’t always easy and that there are many different ways to make money from them.

Given that we now have an idea of the kind of distances were going to cover over the internet, what’s the best vehicle for financial success? First, you’ll have to come up with an idea for a product that you’re interested in or that you think others will find interesting. It might be 1950s NASA photography, for example.

Say you’ve decided to run with this topic to use as your blog’s main content theme. All well and good, I’d say. Chances are pretty high that with a total population on the planet of nearly 7 billion people, there are more than enough of them out there who are looking for info about it. And it’s when these people go to Internet search engines and type in words related to it - in order to find out more - that lead to the creation of “keywords.” And it’s these keywords that can turn a blog into a moneymaking machine, if they’re used smartly.

For those who don’t know, keywords are nothing more than words which are regularly typed into search engines, which in turn catalogue them as key words according to rank. The odds, after a while, are fairly good that enough excellent keywords exist out there so that when people use them in searches, a search engines’ results will dish up sites that also have those keywords.  Your job is to land in those searches with keywords that people use when they search for information.

The trick to all this is in finding the right words that haven’t been completely exploited by millions of others out there, and then setting up a blog that takes advantage of the words you’ve found. What’s great is that most major search engines will give you more than enough online aids and tips on how to do this.

Also, there are plenty of online resources (websites, blog hosting sites and the like) that’ll be ready, willing and eager to help you set up a site and show you how to make money online. Most of the time, they’ll host it on their own servers for little or even no cost, and show you how to set it up efficiently and smartly enough to actually make some money off it.

Just keep a few things in mind when getting a blog going: To begin with, take care to ensure the site is easy to read and understand and that it actually has information and content on it that’s fresh and interesting. Also, make sure there’s some means for people to either get info about the topic your blog is focused on, and that they can either buy products you’re selling on your site or with your affiliate partner.

Take these first few steps and you’ll soon be involved in the wonderful world of blogging. Once you got one up and running, it’ll only be a matter of time until you get the hang of it and begin drawing some real income from it.  You can even start to sell products on your blog, whether these products are your own or are from another party who will pay you a commission for each sale from your visitors.  It can be done, and it’s not that hard to learn in the long run. Just work hard, and be prepared to make enough of a profit so you won’t need your day job anymore!
